JUNIOR WEBSITE DESIGNER | Remote, Project-Based Contractor

Amari Creative is a branding and website design studio working with passionate entrepreneurs in the health, wellness, and lifestyle space. We build strategic brands and custom websites that help businesses shine online while creating a seamless, supportive client experience. We are hiring a Junior Website Designer to support our team with client projects. The ideal designer will be highly proficient in Squarespace, with strong design skills, quick tech learning, and the ability to deliver high-quality work on time. Bonus points if you also do brand design and are confident working in Illustrator.

THE GIG

  • Build out Squarespace websites based on provided website strategy, brand assets, copy, and homepage design.

  • Execute multi-page website design builds (typically 5–6 pages), connect links, optimize mobile, and prep for feedback rounds.

  • Implement edits based on team direction, ensuring polished, functional, and strategic websites.

  • Bonus: contribute to brand design deliverables and support with sourcing photography, basic SEO, and visual refinements.

  • Projects will be assigned on an as-needed basis.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven Squarespace experience (multiple client sites you can showcase in your portfolio).

  • Strong design skills and quick tech learning.

  • Quick, streamlined processes and on-time turnaround times.

  • Remote, open to applicants worldwide (must be fluent in English).

TECH PROFICIENCIES

  • Platforms: Squarespace (required), Illustrator (strongly preferred).

  • Bonus: photo sourcing, SEO.

  • Systems: Slack, Zoom, Google Suite, ClickUp (project management).

SOFT SKILLS

  • Strong communicator: responsive, clear, and collaborative via Slack/Zoom.

  • Detail-oriented and organized — you triple-check your work.

  • Self-sufficient problem solver (Google is your friend before asking the team).

  • Enthusiastic, kind, and easy to work with.

  • Reliable with deadlines and fast-paced turnaround.

  • Projects typically have a 1-week turnaround window once started, but you’ll always have everything you need upfront so you’re set up for success.

  • Must be available to take on projects with four weeks’ notice.
